This is a page dedicated to my father. It has some pictures of my Dad when he was young as well as some of my memories of him. My earliest recollections are of the water, when I was a child my father was a fisherman. He went out in a boat  and harvested shellfish (clams, oysters and such). He took me with him to "cull", culling is sorting the clams by size and throwing all the debris and unwanted sea creatures back overboard. I loved going out in the boat and used to hang over the bow (front of the boat) to watch the water pass under the hull. Back then there were porpoise's in our local waters (pollution and human encroachment drove them away long ago) and they would often swim along side the boat.

The picture below is of Dad working in the yard at our house on Wilson Street and me carrying a loaf of bread to my Mom (back then bread was delivered daily by the bakery truck in the background). Dad is busy planting (I think) the house was new and the yard started out looking like a barren moonscape. It took Dad years but it ended up beautiful, with gardens, trees, shrubs and a huge brick patio that us kids used to get the "privilege" of weeding.
